We're gonna go over to file, dropdown menu, export and over to PDF.
Let's go through the options for exporting a PDF file. This method will create a new project and auto-create scenes, panels and place the text elemnts as you have decided in the creation window. With Storyboard Pro, it's one step anytime. When all elemnts from the final draft script has been placed press Import. You can also create new caption fields for the project directly in this window by pressing the Add Caption Field button. In the Destination Caption field, select Slugging. In the right compartement in the Action (What storyboard will do ) select New Scene. select the Scene heading in the left compartement. To the right you will now be able to choose where and how the element will be placed. When a file is chosen, the dialogue box will show all element types used in your final draft script in the left “compartment” of the dialogue box.Select them one by one as you systematicly choose how the elements will be placed when imported. The top field let you browse your files by pressing the icon to the right of it. An, Import From Final Draft window opens. I am on a mac but expect the import on windows to be similar.įrom the top menu select -File _New from Final Draft Script. Well, I have my background drawn on one layer here, let me just drag that background over into my Library area, let go, and it comes up with a file name, BG_1.To import Final Draft script the quickest way, you will have to create a new project from within an excisting project in Storyboard Pro. I could save this into my References folder, which is one that I set up specifically, but one of the defaults is Local. Let's take a look at saving and reusing this background. And we save these Templates into Libraries.
Luckily you can save any layers of background or an entire panel in Storyboard Pro for quick use in other panels. You can duplicate a panel, but you may not need or want everything that's in that panel. And some of those panels are in other scenes. So you're working on boarding a scene and you just spent the last 30 minutes sketching out a detailed background and you know you've got at least another five panels that you're going to need the exact same background.
